The Four of Swords is called Truce. This seems rather on the lines of "the strong man armed, keeping his house in peace". The masculine nature of air makes it dominant. The card is almost a picture of the formation of the military clan system of society. The Four Swords shows a time peace, away from struggle. Powers: Subtlety, beauty, new things and ideas, The Vision of Love, rest from sorrow, pause in struggles. Recovery from sickness. Change for the better. Authority in the intellectual world. Convention. Establishment of dogma. Colours: Deep Violet, Blue, Deep purple, Deep azure, flecked yellow. Gods: Amoun, Isis, Neith, the Arms, Indra, Brahma, Friendliness, Wotan, Poseidon, Jupiter, God the Rain-maker, God the Farmer's friend.
